Private Lessons for Violin, Viola, Cello, or Double Bass

Professional Private Lessons List

Why take private lessons?

Private lessons are an excellent supplement to Worthington's string orchestra curriculum and allow students to advance and work at his or her own speed and comfort level. Students who take private lessons often excel to participate in TWHS Chamber Orchestra, Columbus Symphony Youth Orchestra, Chamber Music Connection, Youth Philharmonic of Central Ohio, OMEA Regional Orchestra, and OMEA All State Orchestra.

How much do they cost?

Private lessons are scheduled once a week and usually last 30-45 minutes.  Lesson prices vary for different teachers, but average around $20-40 per lesson depending on length and each teacher's studio policy.

How do I get started?

Mrs. Ellis maintains an updated list of local violin, viola, cello or bass teachers in the community. Please contact her for the most updated private lesson teacher list. Names are not published on our website for privacy.  You may also visit The Loft Violin Shop's website at www.theloftviolinshop.com for their most updated private lesson teacher list.
